Atelier de Myri creates their marble socks by combining a love of dyeing with a traditional Japanese dyeing technique called “Shibori” (read our interview with Miriam here).

Each sock is lovingly tied and dyed using a special technique. The reservation technique Shibori and the dyeing allow to a certain extent the specific guidance of the resulting pattern. Nevertheless, there is always a little bit of chance, which means that every single sock remains a certain surprise and is unique.

During the dyeing process, it is essential that no dyes get into the groundwater and that the remaining dye liquor is disposed of fairly.

For the care of the socks, a delicate wash at 40°C without subsequent tumbling is recommended. This protects the fibre and the dye and ensures long-lasting colour brilliance.
